From the time I was eight years old, when my little brother was born, I've always loved helping to take care of him. I changed my first diaper by the time he was six months old. In the years following (when I was about ten years old), I began babysitting for my neighbors, as well as watching my brother while my parents weren't home. I've always had a passion for children and absolutely love to watch them grow and learn new things and couldn't imagine anything more rewarding than taking part in that experience. While working as a hostess, my manager loved how much children seemed to open up to me. While working as a sales associate, a customer of mine asked if I would like to babysit her two small children on my days off (one of which had both autism and ADHD), because of how fond of me Read more they were while she was in. Also while working there, my manager would have me watch her daughter from time to time, who always loved seeing me. Lastly, shortly after becoming friends, the people I currently babysit for asked if I'd like to watch their baby on Tuesday evenings, which soon turned to full days on Tuesdays because they love how interactive I am with their daughter. I've been watching their little girl every week for the past few months and occasionally in between and cannot believe how much of a positive influence I've been able to help have on her in that little bit of time; with everything from learning to talk, to healthy eating habits, to using her manners and playing nice, and even cleaning up after herself. More than anything, it is my dream to eventually own my own daycare, so I can have the same positive influences on many children on a day to day basis. At present time, however, any sort of work in childcare would be an absolutely wonderful experience that I would be more than grateful for every day.
