***During the school year I am only available for Friday date nights.*** I adore kids and the light and honesty they bring into the world. I understand and respect that children come in all shapes and sizes, from the ones zooming around the park making friends with new kids to the ones who'd prefer to sit quietly reading, absorbing the world through their own imaginations - and all the kids in between. Different children - and different families - have their own unique needs, and I feel it's important to respect and honor that. Like many people, I babysat my way through middle and high school. Back then there were no babysitting websites, so most of my families were neighbors or had heard about me through word-of-mouth. After college, I moved to New York and worked as a writer and editor for seven years. I returned to the Seattle area Read more about two years ago. I'm currently enrolled full-time in Edmonds Community College's paralegal program. As a writer, I have top-notch English skills for tutoring, and can also help with (basic) math and most other classes. The biggest advantage you get with me is obvious: I'm an adult! You don't need to worry about someone that's going to sneak their boyfriend over or panic in an emergency. I have my own insured car and have been a licensed driver for 17 years, and haven't had an accident (or even a ticket!) in 11. In addition to babysitting, I can help run errands, pick up the kids from school, or drop them off at lessons. I've also been a house sitter and pet sitter, so I can look after your four-legged family members as well (please note that I do not provide housekeeping during babysitting jobs). Best of all, I'm kind and fun, but I know how to set limits and make sure everyone's homework gets done! During the school year I'm available for your well-deserved night out (Fridays and Saturdays).
