As a future teacher, I am looking to obtain more experience working with children this summer in the Vancouver, Spokane, or Pullman areas. I have had many experiences working with children. Last summer, I was a nanny for four children. As a nanny, I believe limiting screen time is very important. The children were enrolled in swimming lessons, and I would take them to the park frequently. At home, I would teach them basic music theory and aid them in crafts. I am firm when it comes to safety and household rules, but I encourage fun, being active, and creativity. I always encourage being goofy! Additionally, I have worked at a summer camp where I lived in the cabin with children, lead activities, and served as a lifeguard. As I work toward my degree in music education, I have had many chances to work in the band classroom through volunteer Read more work and my advanced practicum. In the past, I have been certified in CPR/First Aid. I am willing to renew these certifications, if needed.
