I have been involved in educating and mentoring younger people for the past 5 years. Beginning to teach and guide the younger generation when I was only 16 years old myself has given me an unbroken thread to the ways and needs of adolescents and pre-adolescents. I am currently a part-time drum teacher in the Olympia area, with students ranging from 7 to 22 years in age. My background in music education has shown me the inherent brilliance in every child, and I treat all of the youth I work with as such. Alongside music, I've worked with young people in the arena of outdoor education professionally in multiple positions. One of these positions being an intern at a YMCA skateboarding summer camp, teaching earth-based survival skills, and the other being an instructor of these skills at Santa Cruz based outdoor education company, Adventure Out.
