Hi! My name is Brittany, and I love working with kids. Growing up, I was the oldest child, so I was the one my parents would go to for some extra help. All throughout the time I lived at home, I’ve cared for and entertained my younger siblings in the most creative ways. Around the time that I was in middle school, we had a nasty storm hit our area and it caused the power in our home to go out. I created a “television” out of a card board box, duct tape and flash lights with stuffed animals as the stars of the show. I graduated from Tumwater High School with the class of 2016, during my time there I participated in a year long course on nursing at New Market Skills Center. Through this course, I became CPR certified and was trained to care for elders with disabilities. Read more Post high school, I’ve been working in the food industry and customer service in order to save money and further my career; my goal is to work in a school with children who have autism and other special needs. I feel as if they don’t get the attention they need and quite frankly are given the benefit of the doubt. These children may suffer deficits, yes, but that does not mean they cannot be successful, and I want to help them grow and give them the opportunity to live the full lives they deserve. (Hours flexible)
