Hi! My name is Elizabeth (Lizzy). I love working and being around children. They're so full of life and happiness! I am currently working on my degree in Occupational Therapy and hope to go into Pediatric care. I have been caring for children since the age of 12. I worked in a nursery with an infant-toddler specialty for 5 years and a daycare (preschool to 11) for 2 years. My most recent employment was a part-time nannying position for a 5-month-old and a 2-year-old. I have experience in nannying/babysitting up to 5 children from newborns to 11-year-olds, including multiples. I am comfortable working with special needs children as well as pets. I am also semi-fluent in American Sign Language. I am first aid & CPR certified, including the infant/child CPR as well as the baby choke. Lizzy is a very bright young lady that has been watching my 2 year old and 6 month old boys this summer, and they have come to adore her. She was immediately up for the challenge of a precocious and feisty toddler while simultaneously taking on the needs of our baby. Although we had searched this site extensively before, I actually met Lizzy at church, as she is an active volunteer in both the nursery and toddler rooms. She has a strong set of moral values, sets clear and consistent boundaries that align with our family rules, and is always on time. My toddler regularly takes naps when in her care (something that has been fairly hit or miss in the past), and, after asking our permission, initiated potty training with our son! Our younger son's weight had been a previous concern, and Lizzy has been wonderful about feeding him frequently and recording his eating schedule, which has been a success! There is nothing better as a parent that to come home after a long day to a quiet house, two little angels sleeping, and fresh baked banana bread on the counter. I would hire Lizzy again in a heartbeat!
