Hello all, my name is Alexandra and I am 26 years old. I attend college and do respite care for foster children. When I was 10 years old I was taken into CPS and put in foster care. I bounced from group home to group home until I found a nice foster family. When I turned 18, I decided I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. I wanted to be a mentor for them, I wanted to be their friend, their support team, I wanted to love them, and I wanted them to have a great time enjoying their child hood with amazing memories. I started volunteering with kids and in 2016 I became licensed as a respite care provider. I have worked with children from the age of 6 months to 18 years. I have watched children over night and I have watched up to 8 kids Read more at a time. I have my CPR/first aid certification and do not mind taking extra classes of other courses. When I am doing respite care or babysitting I love being active and going to parks, museums, galleries. I also enjoy staying inside and reading, helping with home work, doing arts and crafts, or baking. Although I don’t have any of my own children, I do have 6 nieces and nephews as well as all of the foster kids I consider to be my family as well. I love children and I love making connections that they will remember for the rest of their life
