I am a transplant from Chicago arriving in Seattle just a few weeks ago. I am a full time student going back to school to get my masters in nutrition. I have nannied with two families - the first I was with for four years and we are still in close contact. The second family I was with for the past 9 months and had to say goodbye to their infant son who I got the pleasure of watching grow and develop from 1 month to 10 months old. I enjoy the fun working with children brings to my life. Aside from schoolwork, I believe it is important that children learn an appreciation and respect for the world around them at an early age. I also believe that children should be respectful of the adults in their lives and function best when they have boundaries set for them. I enjoy Read more cooking and baking (whole foods, clean eating, gluten free at times), the outdoors, animals, arts and crafts, sports, and trips to the library. I believe children need the adults in their life to help mold them into decent, well-rounded humans. I also spent a year taking care of an adult with cerebral palsy. She was a student at SIU and I would bathe her, help her use the bathroom, put her to bed, and run errands with her such as going to the cafeteria and checking the mail.
