I love children and I truly enjoy getting to know them, playing with them, and meeting their developmental needs. My care-taking style is nurturing and attentive. I'm great at tuning into the moods and cues of infants to sense what they want when they themselves don't know. I believe that children are highly intelligent and intuitive from infant-hood and they need very little sternness to redirect them once they are used to soft and joyful tones of voice. I have experience taking care of children in after school programs, where we keep them entertained and learning with arts and crafts, homework, and play time. I am in the process of acquiring a degree in Child Development. However, I believe that every child develops at his/her own pace and that children are evolving faster than the developmental sciences can keep up with.
