Most of my experience has been working with kids. At a young age I started out with babysitting which evolved into teaching swim lessons, coaching middle school girls in volleyball and basketball, being a nanny, work in inpatient facility with teens, and currently working at a school as a office support, recess monitor, and after school care supervisor. I enjoy being a recess monitor because I get to play with kids and interact with them. During after school care, I enforce 1 hour of home work time before kids can play. If kids do not have any home work, they can play but have to use indoor voices due to people still working below us. In the long run, my main career goal is to be able counsel kids in a school setting. I don't want to be an academic cousnelor because they focus more on helping kids getting into Read more college, and not so much on kids being bullied, dealing with emotional, behavioral, and/or pyschological issues, and other issues. I want to be able to encourage kids in whatever way I can to boost their self esteem to be the person they want to be.
