Being Ethiopian American I have grown up taking care of the younger kids in my community wether it was a family member or someone from my church. I also have a younger sister who is 13 years old right now who I have babysat while my parents would leave us at home unattended I was in charge of taking care of her. Then my younger 2nd cousin was born who is now 7 years old became my responsibility too. I would fed them snacks during their homework break, give them an 2 hour break for homework. I also helped them on any of their homework problems that they struggled with, help clean their rooms, take my sister to and from the library or to and from school. My babysitting experience has taught me to have a lot of patience and to pay attention to detail when it comes to kids, Read more also has shown me to care more for their needs. I am currently a server at the University of washington Club, But I want to switch over to being a full time nanny because it is something I have more interest in. I am currently not in school but I plan on taking 1 or 2 classes this upcoming fall at Seattle Central Community College.
