Greetings! My name is Samantha and I'll be the Mary Poppins of your pleasing! I have been working with children professionally for the last decade, starting out with nannying over summers in junior high and volunteering with children through the Seattle Aquarium in high school as an event lead, face painter and Teen Naturalist Outreach Instructor. I have earned a Bachelor's in Psychology from Western Washington University and through my college career worked with youth in Behavioral Rehabilitation through a foster care agency. I have been trained through DSHS in a multitude of learning disorders, developmental delays, behavioral needs and escalation/calming techniques. You think your kid might be a hassle? I've seen it all :) Currently I work full-time in Seattle as Social Worker in a nursing home but am looking for a few nights or evenings a week to get involved with kids. I miss them! I have been certified in First Aid, Adult/Infant CPR/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, HIV/AIDS, Oxygen Administration and even earned my Emergency Medical Responder certification. On top of that I have an active NAC, so all those ouchies, scrapes, cuts, bruises and blisters? Throw 'em my way! On a more personal level I really just love kids. I love to draw and build forts, find games to play outside and get creative. Songs and dancing, whimsical imaginary play, it's all so magical to be a part of! And please allow me to cook for your kiddos! I love to cook, love to be around your other scruffy loved ones (I have two cats and a dog myself!) and have no problem lending a helping hand to clean up around the house. So give me a call!
