I have 15 years of childcare experience, ranging from infant to adolescent care, occasional babysitting to full-time nanny work, and special week-long stints to years of growing with a cherished family. I don't blink at changing diapers, folding underwear, wiping up kitchen messes, kissing bruised knees, or mopping floors while baby naps. I consider it an added bonus if your household included children of the furry variety as well. I lament the fact that as we grow older it is considered uncouth to play with Barbies, fashion pies out of mud, dance around in tutus, or roll around in the grass. Although I believe that TV can sometimes be a magical soother, I'm a strong advocate for the powers of imagination, sunlight, and dirty jeans. I've cared for newborns while mom rested upstairs, crawled around on the floors with toddlers while their parents went out on date nights and held Read more dance marathons with 3 sisters while their mom ran errands. In my personal life, I've helped and watched my own sister and brother (15 years my junior!) grow up, serving as a built-in sitter for my own family.
