I've taken an active part in the raising of children since I was twelve years old. My sister was born then, and I was hired by the family across the street to watch their two boys, aged 8.5 and 5, full time 9am-6pm all that summer. I was hired by them the next two summers as well. I was a regular evening sitter for our avon lady for five years, watching her two daughters beginning when they were 7 and 4. These two jobs led to multiple hirings over my teen years. I also assisted with all aspects of the raising of my sister, and my brother as well two years later, as my mother suffered very poor health, and people often praised me on my "children" (I was still only 15!) and how happy and well cared for they were. When I was 23 I began working in a Read more daycare called Toddler Tech fulltime as a toddlers teacher in Ft. Myers, FL. I watched up to twelve toddlers with one other teacher with complete success for 1.5 years, at which time i completed my CNA/HHA certifications and began working private duty home health cases with seniors. I missed working with children though, and was immediately assigned to the afterschool program at Toddler Tech. This group ran between 20-36 children with three teachers including myself. Several of the kids had learning disabilities, but with patience they always completed their homework and we had fantastic, happy kids every day. I found out around this time that i was unlikely to ever be able to have children myself. And so when I miraculously carried my only child to term, i stayed home to bring her up myself, knowing this was my one and only chance, and I'd been blessed to receive this much. It's a decision I've never regretted. My daughter is now 19, and she works in a daycare in a hospital while seeking her ECE degree. She really makes me proud of her every day. And now that my baby is grown, perhaps I can help you with yours!

Kristie has done a wonderful job taking care of our four month old daughter for a few hours a day on weekday afternoons. It is not an easy task; our daughter is not quite sure about the fact that her mommy and daddy are not there. I work from home, and from my office I can hear Kristie comfort our daughter, sing her songs, engage her in conversation and generally make her comfortable. Kristine doesn't let the crying phase her, but holds our daughter and lets her know it will be okay. I would recommend Kristie to anyone searching for infant care. She is confident and knowledgeable. She is also on time and very communicative. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.

I contacted Kristie when I was desperately in need of a sitter after moving here from Chicago with a 4 months-old. I have a part time, remote job but it was impossible to work while trying to take care of my daughter L, since L is not much of a napper. Kristie came through and has been very very patient with L. She would take L on walks, play with her, sing and rock her to sleep (or try to--I think Kristie has as much of a success as I do at putting L down for a nap). Kristie is practical, communicative, and great to work with. All in all, I am happy I found her and I'd highly recommend Kristie!
