I recently moved back to the US after teaching abroad for 2 years which, while challenging, was one of the best things I've ever done. I learned the importance of being flexible and the ability to adapt quickly as well as how rewarding and hilarious it is to make yourself understood across language barriers. I love working with children and enjoy creating interesting activities and games to not only entertain them but keep their minds active! Previous to being a teacher I was a nanny for 2 years in Portland, OR. I worked for 2 different families in succession and continued to babysit occasionally for the first family after their child had entered daycare. Both families had toddler aged boys and for the first family I also took care of their dog and provided light house-cleaning. I'm an active person so weather permitting I like to play outside, whether it's Read more going to the park, exploring the neighborhood, traveling to libraries/museums, or playing in the backyard (if available). However, I'm just as comfortable spending a rainy day inside drawing, reading, making music, doing puzzles, building forts, or anything else - the possibilities are endless!
