Hello, I'm currently a nursing student at the Johns Hopkins University, and I graduated with a psychology degree from the University of Washington in 2018. I'm interested in pediatric and psychiatric nursing, so I love hanging out with little ones! I was originally from Taiwan so I speak fluent Mandarin. When I went back to Taiwan for Summer, I volunteered at a foundation where I had to help to professionals to take care of children from age 2 to 12 with either mental or physical disabilities. My main tasks were to play with them, bring them to grocery stores or parks, and sometimes teach them some fun and easy stuffs--basically what a babysitter would do! At the beginning of this year (2018), I joined a research team at Center of Child and Family Well-being (CCFW) at University of Washington as a research assistant. Other than research related tasks, I had Read more to take care of babies from 2 months to 11 months. Moreover, I also worked for Cultivate Learning as a data collector which allows me to gain many experience interacting with preschool kids! Even though I do not have official babysitting experience, I was trained to work with children for research and acknowledge the importance of confidential information, I personally think this is a plus for a babysitter.
