I've been a babysitter/nanny for about 12 years now. I've worked for multiple families (in Arizona and Washington state), a previous agency in Washington state, and a daycare in my home state of Arizona. I was previously a licensed/certified USA swim coach and lifeguard. I'm currently certified in CPR/first aid/AED for adults, children, and infants. I've worked with children of all ages (3 months-13 years) and cared for children with disabilities (including ASD, ADHD, Deaf/HoH, vision impaired/blind, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, nonverbal, and other physical/cognitive/mental/emotional disabilities/conditions/illnesses/delays/etc.). For those who are Deaf/HoH/nonverbal (or are just teaching your child(ren) ASL), I'm at a fairly decent conversational level for American Sign Language. I'm also learning Spanish and Polish. I'm a great cook, and was an assistant cooking instructor for a small business in Washington state. They taught after-school cooking classes to kids at schools around the Seattle area (mainly elementary, but also some Read more middle schools). When I'm at your house, I always try to clean up as much as I can, get the kids to bed at or around bed time, and reach out only when needed (so you don't have to worry while you're out). I'm a great problem solver, creative, can watch them if they want to swim (or even teach swim lessons), can help with homework, and can transport them to/from wherever they may need to go! I also have no problem staying late into the night or staying longer than originally planned, as long as that's communicated to me. I stay up late anyway, so don't feel bad if you want to stay out late and have fun! I always make sure the kids have fun, and are happy, healthy, and safe. I have my BS in nutrition and dietetics, I don't smoke or do drugs, and I'm up to date on all vaccines (including COVID-19, I received my booster Feb 2022).
