Hi there, I'm Gaelen! I'm nonbinary and use they/them pronouns. I'm currently taking time off from Reed College for personal and financial reasons and am hoping to spend this time gaining more experience working with kids. I've always known I wanted to work in childcare. Both my parents were teachers so I've always felt most comfortable in learning and growth centered environments. Since I was 15 I've spent every summer working in the summer program run by my old elementary and middle school. Throughout the years I've worked with children with a wide varieties of ages, backgrounds and needs, and I hope to bring the experience and understanding that I have gained from such variety to caring for your children in whatever way they need. While most of my experience has been with ages 4-12, I have worked with children older and younger than that by a couple of years.
