My experience with kids started at age 8 as a mother's helper. Throughout my teenage years, I babysat for multiple families on a consistent basis and worked as a summertime nanny for a wonderful family for several years as well. I have worked directly with kids ranging from 8 months to 15 years old, and would feel comfortable with any age. Alongside babysitting and nannying I worked as a lifeguard for seven years, and so have longstanding CPR and First Aid certifications. As a sitter I happily follow any requested parenting styles. If it's a day of no "screen time" or an evening with an early bedtime, then that's the way it will be! I am a big proponent of keeping kids happy through plenty of activity and healthy foods (no one likes a sugar crash...)
