I am a 25-year-old graduate student and I'm currently writing my masters thesis in english and secondary education. I have been babysitting and looking after children since I was 12 years old, when I first started babysitting my younger cousins. For three summers, 2008-2011, I was a senior camp counselor at a community center in New Haven, and was responsible for groups of 10-20 children. During these three years, I worked with children ages 4 years old-14 years old. Beginning my freshman year in college, fall of 2008 through the beginning of my senior year in 2011. I was a nanny for two girls in Newton, MA. When I began watching the girls, they were ages 9 and 11. I provided transportation to and from activities, homework help, and general household assistance. In Summer 2012, I was a full-time babysitter for two children, a boy age 11 and a girl Read more age 12. I organized activities, transported the children and their friends and again provided general household assistance. For the following two years, I babysat for the younger two children in a family of 5, an 8-year old girl and 11-year old boy. I was their after school, summer, and date-night sitter. I was a substitute teacher for two years, held various internships in middle and high schools via my graduate program and I recently finished my student teaching semester in an 8th grade English class. I have extensive experience and I love being around kids, as my soon-to-be profession denotes.
