Hello! Beyond the many years I spent babysitting for my cousins, when I hit high school I began babysitting for people outside of my family. At that time I would usually just assist with help after school and light housekeeping duties when needed. Upon graduating, I went to a private college for a year in Idaho before deciding that I wanted more truly to live somewhere else - that 'somewhere' being Hawaii. I moved to Maui upon finding a live-in nanny position with a wonderful family there. I took care of three children - a 12 year old girl, a 7 year old girl, and a brand new baby boy. I adored the children and fell in love with each one of them. Once that position expired I moved to another side of the island and worked a few years in customer service positions - mostly scuba-diving and serving on Read more dinner cruises..but eventually I missed the kiddos too much! I pursued a position to work for a great company called 'Happy Kids' on Maui. They were wonderful to work for - they provided me with many, many opportunities to give parents a night or a day off on their vacation to go out and enjoy some time to themselves while I took care of their children. I was responsible for anywhere from one to 15 (THAT was a surprise) children at a time - and of the ages from newborn all the way up to 15 or 16 years old. It was great practice in learning how to best take care of kids of all different personalities and demeanor. Since I left the island of Maui, I spent some time working in Alaska seasonally and driving commercial tour bus -- but now have moved to Washington state, as I mentioned originally! I work online as a social media marketer and health and fitness coach, which leaves me with a flexible schedule. I have my own transportation (a mini cooper) and I do not smoke. I have a clean driving record (and commercial driver's license), CPR and First Aid certification, and a caring and nurturing heart that would love to take care of your loved ones.
