Good Afternoon; I recently found myself out of work when the respite program I was dedicated to for 21 years was closed due to budget issues within the agency. Although I babysat as a teenager, I have not worked directly with children. However, working with seniors with dementia taught me how to multi task, be flexible and have a lot of patients. Not knowing where I would like my life to take me next, I am looking for a new career that I can devote myself to and make a positive change in someone’s life. Growing up with both parents as school teachers, I thought I too would become a teacher. My life took me in another direction, but I am feeling like I would again like to work with children and help them succeed in life. I am reliable, efficient and energetic. I get a feel for my surroundings to anticipate any potential problems that may arise, but just in case, I am a great problem solver.
