Hi! Since February, I have been working with foster and adopted children with behavior challenges in Bend, Oregon. I am relocating to Spokane area in November to be closer to my own family. I provided support to them in their homes, school, and on vacations. I worked during the ski season at a ski day care, where I met infants, toddlers and young children from all over the word. It was a real treat to learn different languages, see the variety of all the different parenting styles and theories. It was so heartwarming to be that special person in that child's life for a few days. I have spent the last 30 years in raising my own children; last 20 years in working with children in public school systems, teaching, art, cooking, math reading and science. I have worked for the last 4 summers one-on-one with behavior children, special needs Read more and tutoring summer programs. I have 7 years of experience with hospice health care and home health care. My last position in the public school was student services. I cared for injured and sick children, First Aid, triage, assisting children with special health, physical and behavior needs. I have worked with the after-school as a teacher, tutor, swimming supervisor, summer school teacher, teacher assistant. I also worked as a one-on-one with students on IEP behavior program and students with physical needs. I love to travel and very willing to accompany family on vacations; it's always nice to have an extra set of hands while relaxing on your family trip. I am extremely patient, tidy, kind, caring, creative, empathic, enjoyable, honest and extremely reliable. I love reading and educational instructing. I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, hiking, horses, animals and water. Our children of today will be the leaders, teachers, and caregivers of our tomorrow.
