I am currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at Lane Community College and have 1 class left (writing) until I get my Associates. I have such a strong passion for children. Ever since I was 12 years old I have been working with children. I've worked with children ages 6 weeks-10 years old. I worked at New Dream Child Care Center in Eugene, OR in the two's classroom and it was amazing! My husband and I just moved to Colorado on the 10th for his new job. Before the children in my class could move up to preschool when they turn 3, they had to be potty trained. So I have quite a bit of experience with potty training. I would prefer working with a family who would need me for quite some time. I want to have a good strong relationship with the family/children. I'm comfortable staying Read more overnight if needed, I don't smoke, and I am CPR/First Aid certified. I also have my own car and 2 dogs (Yorkie/Chiweenie) so having pets is not a problem. Before working at New Dream, I cared for a family who had a little girl age 5 months. I also cared for a family who had 2 twin girls from the age of 6 weeks to 8 months. While working at New Dream, I cared for 3 families. The first family had a 6 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. I would pick them up from school, take them home, help them with homework if needed, make dinner, and get them all ready for bed so their parents could put them to bed when they got home. The second family had one 3 year old boy. I would watch him every now and then when needed, mostly on the weekends. The third family had a 2 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. We would go to the park, play games, I’d make them dinner, get them all ready for bed, read a couple stories, and then put them to bed. I also have 4 letters of recommendation.
