I'm Ann, I am 20 years old and I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I babysat for families around my area with children ranging in ages 6-mos. to 8-yrs. old. Aside from babysitting, I started working at a daycare when I was 16, working with children ranging in ages 6-wks. to 5-yrs. old, along with an after-school program of elementary school children. After working here for almost 2 1/2 years, I left the daycare to go to college where I began work at another daycare facility where I worked with children aged 2-5 yrs. old. Because of my daycare background, I have been through CPR trainings, Universal Precautions/First Aid trainings, along with other various classes and trainings. I personally became a caregiver on a whim when a neighbor asked me to babysit her child and I quickly learned that it was a fun and rewarding job Read more that allowed me to be interactive. I learned that I worked great with kids and I worked with great families. I have spent a lot of time taking care of infants as a babysitter and in the daycare setting, including giving care to four infants at one time by myself. Therefore, working with infants/toddlers does not intimidate me. I consider myself a young, fun and charismatic person. I always want to make sure children have fun, although I also consider myself a stickler for safety. I do have a very reliable vehicle for transportation if necessary.
