At the age of 23, I have experience teaching in a classroom setting as well as small groups and one-on-one mentoring and tutoring, which has led me to work with kids in a variety of situations! I have taught English as a second language (conversation and reading in particular) to kids ranging from age 6 to age 16. I've mentored and tutoring refugees from Somalia and North Korea and in High School I volunteered with children on the Autism spectrum, all of which expanded my ability to relate to people on new levels. Outside of classrooms and in-home tutoring, I have babysat for a family of five children age 5-12 several times (cooking dinner, playing games, helping them get to sleep when necessary, and reading together). More recently have been an "as-needed" house-keeper and pet sitter for a neighbor. My duties there included watering the plants, taking care of three Read more cats and pampering their pug (walks, feeding, play-time, hygiene, etc.) In addition to that I help my boyfriend take care of his five year old son and have 2 cats and 3 dogs at home. Despite being an only child myself, I have grown to love working with children and teens. I hope I can be of help to some people! As a final side note, I also speak Korean as a second language.
