I fell in love with the Reggio Emilia early childhood education approach when I worked as a preschool teacher at Small Wonders School here in Portland, so I'm a strong believer in child-directed learning, sensory play, process art, and outdoor exploration. I spend a lot of time on Pinterest planning new activities for my kiddos. I've nannied for ages 0-13, and as the oldest of six kids, I've probably changed more diapers than anyone I know. I also taught science and art classes for the Children's Museum of Eastern Oregon, Pendleton Center for the Arts, and Pendleton Parks & Rec, and I was a guest creative writing instructor for the annual Word Round-Up writing conference. I teach piano too!
