I have been working as a babysitter/nanny for the past 15 years. I am currently a 2nd grade teacher with a public school and have been working with school-age children both inside and outside the classroom (ages newborn-14). I have extensive experience with childcare and education. After working at a preschool and day care center for children ages 2 to 5, I began working as a nanny for a family of two young girls, then ages 2 1/2 and 5. I continued with this family for over 6 years as they added to their family. I cared for their newborn (now 5) as well as the two girls (now 4th grade and 6th grade). I have recently relocated to the Brooklyn area. I adore working with children and am very comfortable and competent with all ages, needs, and abilities. It is truly a blessing to observe this enlightening process and any amount of guidance and support I can provide is a gift. The care, safety, and enjoyment of children is my number one priority. As a teacher/nanny/babysitter, I nurture curiosity, creativity, and imagination through fun and engaging activities. I love being outside, having fun, playing games and acting silly. I love to cook and often take care of the children’s' meals (as designed by the parents). I pride myself on cleaning up any and all messes made as we play, learn, explore, and eat and am very comfortable attending to any extra chores/housekeeping as needed. I treat each of my students and children with the same care, attention, and love as I would my own. I have been very lucky to have met and cared for wonderful families with whom I still stay in close contact. I am currently looking for full-time summer employment but am willing to work as many hours as needed.
