I am a grandma of an 18-month old, and I care for her on average about one weekend per month. I raised two of my own children and co-raised a step child. My home nest is empty, so I find myself with time on my hands and caring to share. I am looking for occasional evening or weekend work, giving couples time to recharge away from their children is perfect for me. I have a background in Social Work, specifically developmentally disabled and other long term care individuals. I currently work full time for a Federal Goverment agency, so I am not available during the day on weekdays. I prefer one or two children, but would considerr three if the fit was right. Any position I would consider would involve me coming to your home, as I feel the children are more comfortable in their own environment especially since I Read more am only considering casual, occasional opportunities. I was previously certified in CPR, and only need the refresher if a person required that for consideration.
