I am a studio artist who have been working as a part time Administrator/HR for the past 7 years. I am now looking to do something more meaningful (to me) than writing policies and guidelines all day. I would love to take care of a child and experience the satisfaction of watching him/her grow for a few years. I am a naturalized US citizen born and raised (by a nanny) in a Caribbean country . I grew up speaking French and Spanish. I have extensive child care/nanny experience helping to raise family members and other children in New York, Florida and Mexico. I love and understand children. I studied child development. I have one biologic daughter and fostered 8 children for the state of Wisconsin. I dream of helping parents care for a child, having a baby to play with and sing silly songs to and make him/her giggle. I Read more will sing lullabies, but most of it will be in French. I taught these two languages, along with parenting skills classes at MATC for 10 years. I simply wish to play grandma and have fun with a child for a few years. The problem is that I would not be able to accept a job which pays less than 20/hr. I would also be amenable (for a fair wage) to helping with some household chores, as I happen to love cooking, and I am more comfortable and enjoy a clean environment.
