Hi I’m Molly! I am currently seeking occasional babysitting positions. I am currently a Preschool Teacher for three and four year olds. Last year I left my last position as a lead preschool teacher at a prominent preschool in Madison, Wisconsin to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine: backpacking through Europe and through Southeast Asia. During my travels I completed volunteer work, went on a variety of adventures, met many wonderful people, and learned so much about many cultures different from my own. I realized during my trip that I missed working with children, and knew when I returned home, I’d find another job either teaching or childcare. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2014 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Studies. I became a teacher at a preschool in Madison, and after my first school year, was promoted to Read more be a Lead Teacher of a toddler classroom. Throughout my time at this school I taught classrooms full of two to three and a half year old children, though I’m so passionate about working with toddlers at any stage, including infants! I absolutely adored my job there. In my position I took on challenges with classroom management, parent communication, multitasking, organization, lesson preparation, and remaining calm under sometimes highly stressful situations. I woke up each day grateful for my job, and ready to take on the tasks of the day. Last year I also worked part-time as a nanny for an eighteen month old child. I provided the child with well balanced meals, completed fun art and science projects with her, explored many libraries and parks, and spend many, many hours pretending. I really enjoyed my time with her, and was sad to say goodbye when I left for my backpacking trip. I believe the first few years of life are extremely important. I enjoy having a job where I can be involved in this stage of life, and use my background in Psychology to modify behavior. I love creating with toddlers, imagining with them, and reading to them. I adore teaching about love, and watching them grow. Most of all, I love challenging them, with activities and ideas, to help them grow into their best possible selves. I want a job where I can use my talents, and also be happy about going to work each day. I believe nannying is the perfect fit for me. I cannot wait to teach children about other cultures and also to hear their thoughts on the world.
