I have been a nanny for the past three years and I absolutely love it! Last summer I was a nanny for two children ages 3 and 5 in Shorewood, WI. My responsibilities included: food preparation, providing transportation to various activities, and ultimately playing with them. We spent days at the nearby pool, at the beach, playing at the park, doing chalk outside, playing at the park, going for walks and bike rides around the block. The girls also loved art projects. I really had a blast with them each and every day I was there. At the end of the day, they never wanted me to leave. The two summers previous, I was a full-time nanny for two young girls, ages 7 and 5 in Manitowoc, WI. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. My responsibilities included: light housework, food preparation, and providing transportation to and from activities. I Read more planned fun things for us to do, such as go to the park, the library, the animal shelter, the beach, etc. Since the girls were older, we were able to do more educational activities such as read to each other, paint and play board games. I also traveled up north with a family I occasionally babysat for from Manitowoc, WI. The ages of the children were 3 and 1. They were very easygoing and lovable children that listened very well. I loved being around them. I wish I could have worked for them more; however, going to school in Milwaukee was too far of a commute. Throughout my high school career, I volunteered as a Big Sister for two years and also volunteered at my church teaching Sunday school to kindergarteners. Not only do I adore children, but I am also a very responsible and hard working individual. I am a very patient and calm person, especially when it comes to kids. I have also had numerous babysitting jobs while growing up. I have three younger cousins, who I also enjoy babysitting and spending my time with. Once I graduate this spring, I will be attending a graduate teaching program through Concordia. I can't wait to someday be a teacher!
