As a single mom of a 6 year-old boy, I've found myself in a new adventure everyday. Oftentimes, I care for my 2 nephews as well (5, 7) which adds a whole new dimension to this adventure. I have been a child caregiver since I was 10 years old, which is over 20 years experience. I was also a Red Cross certified swim instructor and lifeguard for many years. Though I have not kept the certification, the knowledge of CPR, 1st aid, aquatic rescue, AED/Oxygen is still there. I am a certified dog trainer and follow positive practices. So naturally, if you have any sort of pets, I will love them! Professionally working in the animal welfare industry for over 17 years, has given me great patience, a strong stomach and the ability to maintain an open heart. It is important to me that any parents who choose to trust me with the care of life's most precious gift(s), know that it is only an enhancement to my life and my son's. Only parents that know that sort of chaos can understand the unique experience and why someone loves it. I have a huge sense of humor and enjoy involving everyone in laughter. I am a former student at UWRF double majoring in Art and Psychology. Imagination and creativity should always flourish around me. A very flexible and easily adaptable person am I.
