I have experience caring for children between the ages of 1-10 years old. I truely enjoy time spent caring for children and furfilling their many different demands and needs. I define myself as a very caring, loving, creative and fun individual. I spent time in college, mostly focused in the field of the arts. I also have an interest in psychology and possible pursuing a carreer in art therapy. I am passionate about caring for people and contributing to their well being. I am motivated to come up with entertainment and activities to keep the children in my care occupied. Indoor activities such as painting, coloring, crafts, playdough, board games, puzzles, story time, fort building and playing with toys. Outdoor activies such as bike rides, playing catch, chalk drawing, picnics, scavenger hunts, baloon fights or sprinkler play, and more. Health and wellness are a big part of my life, I would love to make some simple healthy snacks and meals for the kids to enjoy. I am very tidy and will clean up toys, dishes and messes. I am willing to do basic housework or tasks around the house. I am also respectful in following the family's rules, beliefs and views for their children to the best of my ability. I am tolerant, respectful, patient, and and fair in dealing with the moments children become disagreeable, uncooperative or difficult. I will always confront a situation with the intent to pacify and mediate in an assertive but compassionate manner. I would deal with an emergency the same way, assesing the injury or issue, treating it to my ability, contacting the parents, and assesing further actions together. I do have basic first aid knowledge. I also love animals, I previously worked in both a kennel and on a farm. I have also owned both reptiles and rodents. So i am very comfortable caring for and being around pets. I would love to be considered and further interviewed.
