I have always had a love for children. I received my babysitting certification in sixth grade and since then I have been babysitting. I've watched children as young as a few months old and as old as 12. I grew up with three younger siblings and had been around young children quite often besides that. I enjoy watching children of all ages. I enjoy finding activities that are fun for the kids and that can help them learn new skills as well as just having fun. I believe it is important for children to be comfortable with the people that are caring for them which is why I try to learn about the specific children I watch and adapt to the things they like to do and find ways things like eating your vegetables can be rewarding. I can cook, clean, give baths, care for pets, plan activities such as; Read more art projects, playing outside, walking to the park, playing with the neighbor kids and watching children and their friends for a play date. I have taken a child development and a CNA class. I hope to become a special needs teacher, an early childhood educator or a school counselor in the near future. I appreciate honesty and take constructive criticism to help me better my child care abilities. Often I will make a list of things parents have told me to do and that their children like to do so I'm sure to keep the child and the parents happy. I love meeting new people and their children.
