I will provide a safe, nurturing, educational and fun environment for your children. I have cared for and taught children ages infant through 12 for more than 20 years in a wide variety of settings. I am a mother of two, a teenage son and an adult daughter, and I love spending time with my dog, Lucy. I’ve been able to apply my passion for helping children learn and grow at home and in the classroom. Being a part of and supporting the growth of my children into adulthood has been and continues to be an extremely fulfilling adventure. I also love watching the children in my care become independent individuals. My love of art led me to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education. I constantly integrate my passion for art and culture into my care providing practices. Currently, I teach a morning preschool program and art Read more program at a childcare center. Helping a child move through the process of learning something new and feeling that sense of accomplishment is one of my greatest joys. I am current with and have completed 25 hours of continuing education for The Registry, the Wisconsin recognition system of the childhood care and education profession, for the current year. I am certified in CPR and AED through the American Heart Association. I enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle. I love everything that Madison has to offer such as the Madison Farmers Market, Art Fair on the Square, and all of the wonderful festivals and events there are throughout the year. I’m passionate about the arts, both visual and musical. I enjoy yoga, running, hiking, and group fitness classes.
