I am 24 years old & a current student enrolled at WVUP-Jackson Co.Campus. I recently moved here from Alabama to stay with my grandad while I go to school. He generously offered to give me a place to stay,provided me with a car, and accommodates my needs as far as necessities at no cost to me so that I am able to save NY money and spend wisely as I am trying to build excellent credit so that I may move again in a couple of years to pursue my Bachelors degree, and then my masters. I have always loved people & children in particular. That is my motivation to continue my education in the healthcare industry, there is nothing I have found more rewarding than helping anyone from the elderly, to babies, and anyone in between. That passion even extends to animals as well. I am a caretaker by Read more nature, no doubt about that. I got my first chance to babysit at the age of ten! Of course it was a very close family friend but she found it very helpful to have me play with her 4-5 yo son and her 2yo daughter while she did housework without having to look over her shoulder. I was able to get them to sleep willingly which she especially appreciated, previous to my help they had refused naps all together. It continued steadily for me from then on. My moms friends or other family friends new me as I was growing up and trusted me with their kids which was a blessing for me, I couldn't wait to turn 16 so that I could work & here I was at 12 instead, making legitimate money! Those experiences taught me so much,including managing money and the value of a dollar as well as introduced my passion for guiding young lives in the direction I was so fortunate to have been guided. I worked for 2 years at a daycare/after school care facility and was granted my own classroom after the first two weeks! I was very proud and excited. Since then I've worked many jobs, sometimes two at the same time , all customer service positions in nature. I would be so grateful to have an opportunity to be able to do what I love most while finishing my online courses required for my assoc. Degree. It would truly be a blessing, especially with me still being new to the state, it would allow me to broaden my currently *tiny* group of acquaintances & friends. Aside from childcare I am Also more than happy to maintain chores, light cleaning,etc. Around the house while I am sitting. I also am open to running errands whether that be a child's doc. Appt. To a grocery run,etc.I am very easy going & eager to start!
