My name is Alicia Lawson. I am 35 years old, happily married and a mother of two (my daughter is 7 and my son is 12). For the past several years I have worked as a lead preschool teacher. Recently, my husband's career brought us to back to Hope Mills, NC and I had to part with my kiddos from the center I was teaching at in West Virginia. I have a degree in both early childhood education and arts. I am also certified in CPR, first aid and bloodborne pathogens. Prior to working as a lead teacher for the preschool, I worked with the North Carolina public school system as a substitute teacher for ten years. As both a lead preschool teacher and substitute teacher, I helped with lesson plans, worked with children of various ages and with children who had emotional or behavioral issues. I throughly enjoy working Read more with children and feel that they are our future. I believe that children learn most through play and incorporate fun activites into our day.
