Prior experience: Previously, I have been responsible for children 3mo-17yrs in various capacities including as a babysitter, camp counselor, acting coach and basketball coach. Certifications: I hold a current EMT certification, bachelors degree, and certificate in cross-cultural competency. Why do I do this?: Aside from the nuts and bolts of my past experience/certifications, you should know that I am passionate about and skilled in encouraging kids to try new things. One of my proudest moments as a camp counselor was watching my 7 year old camper (who started the day terrified of lake water), conquer water skis for a few short, but sweet moments. I have seen the amazing things that young kids can achieve when they are simply encouraged to do so and I am excited to continue to nudge and encourage the kids I have the opportunity to meet to step out of their comfort zone on occasion.
