My name is Aubrey Reivitt, I am 18 years old and I have quite a lot of experience babysitting children of all ages. I completed the “Safe Sitter” course at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in 2016. This course was 9 hours long, allowing me to become Childcare and CPR certified. I’m trained in caring for children of all ages, the Heimlich Maneuver, and what to do in any type of emergency or situation. Within the last 4 years, I have taught bible classes to a group of about 10-15 second graders. I strongly believe that it is important to create a relationship and build trust with every child, and to make a point to know each child’s personality and realize that it is necessary to handle each situation according to how the children learn and how they understand things. As evidence of my effectiveness with children, every child that I Read more have cared for, has requested that I come back as their caretaker. I have dealt with different types of personalities and ability levels. I have also been volunteering at Southeast Health for 3 years, allowing me to further increase my understanding of issues that night arise, should a child become ill. I have an extremely flexible schedule at this point in time, as I have completed all my high school studies and am currently only taking one college course online. I have been seeking a permanent job which will allow me to begin to become more independent.
