I have worked with kids over the years at summer camps and after school care (mostly with the Salvation Army), but more recently I was privileged to work at a behavioral treatment center for at-risk teenagers. It was a unique and eye-opening experience which I will never forget. I received a great deal of training including Wilderness Advanced First Aid (which has unfortunately expired), Positive Control Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In general, I am an easy-going, compassionate person, but I can be firm when I need to be. I love helping with homework and am good at tutoring. On a personal note, I grew up outside the States and I like to teach kids about the world and give them a bigger perspective.
