I have been babysitting and caring for children since I was around 11 years old. While I spent many years caring for my nephews, I spent my college years receiving an education in family science and leisure services along with involving myself in organizations benefiting children facing life threatening illnesses such as Dance Marathon and The Children's Cancer Connection. While working towards my Bachelors degree I worked in local daycare centers as classroom assistants and after school leads, and even became a director of an after school program. I am certified in CPR and First Aid, Universal Precautions, Medication Management, Nonviolent Crisis Interventions, and Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Reporting.
