Before high school, I watched kids during my brothers sports events. I would ask the child's parent if I could take their child across the field to the playground. From those interactions, I started babysitting and watched kids all through high school. The summer after graduating high school, I watched a boy with autism all day Monday through Friday. College, I continued babysitting and volunteering to watch kids. After college, I spent a year nannying for three kids 5-6 and under. I have had first aid and CPR training and a special sitter certificate (to watch kids with special needs).
