I am a very responsible, positive, confident individual with a friendly demeanor with a high level of integrity. I have worked at the YMCA as a Counselor for four years. I have cared for children from ages 3 months to 9 years of age during the day assisting them in learning life skills. Which includes team building, interacting with others, athleticism, and gaining self-confidence. Responsibilities included: - Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program - Provide nutritious snacks and lunches - Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies - Be familiar with emergency procedures - Ensure children are supervised at all times - Provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games, and story telling - Provide opportunities for sleep and rest time - Build children's esteem - Establish routines and provide positive guidance.
