Taking care of kids is something I have always enjoyed. I love being able to help them develop, grow, and learn. My hope is to be able to eventually work with children after college. Currently I am a health science major with a psychology minor at Franklin Pierce University. One of the best volunteer experiences I have taken part in so far is Topic in Inquiry Scholars. This is an after school club at the local elementary school where the kids pick a topic they are interested in to research. We help them form a hypothesis, as well as teach them how to identify reliable sources. It was great being able to watch the kids learn and become more independent in the research process. Besides this, I have also coached 9 through 14 year olds in track and field. Then of course I have watched kids ages 3 to 5 Read more for family friends. I also have a 14 year old sister I help watch, which mostly includes driving her and her friends places.
