I am a classically trained opera singer and summa cum laude graduate of NYU Gallatin School with my degree in critical theory and complimentary studies in alternative pedagogy. Presently, I manage a certified organic farm in southern New Hampshire. At Brookdale Fruit Farm my duties vary day to day from overseeing the staff through the fluid demands of daily farm-life, maintaining customer relations at the stand to transplanting tomato plants. I take pleasure in offering empathic and clear oversight that is furnished by deep listening and observation. In the past, I was an in-class tutor and classroom aid for third-graders at PS. 40 in Manhattan. In the classroom I offered disciplinary and administrative support to the head teacher, Lauren Schnur. My polyvalent function in the classroom shifted between acting as a compassionate academic and behavioral guide for students to providing insight to Lauren Schnur regarding effective class management, grading papers, Read more and overseeing coursework decisions. As an aid I developed communicative techniques for diplomatically abating inter-student quarrels and sensing human need through developmental communication barriers. Additionally, my extensive experience working in the hospitality industry in New York City has co-strengthened my ability to sense and service human need when unexpressed and to effectively work with others in a high-paced environment through active observation and listening. As a singer and musician, I am morally sustained and gratified through acts of caretaking. I would be humbled to support and learn how to support the expression of your life and living.
