I have raised my own children as a stay-at-home mom, beginning their education before they started school. I also read a lot to them from infancy, and then they read to me as they were learning. I believe in teaching children to obey, but also try to model love and respect. This is a process and it is best if all caregivers reach a consensus regarding discipline from the start. This can alleviate misunderstanding and it is important to present a united front for the children. I also help care for my great nephew, whose parents both work. In addition, I have fifteen years of experience caring for the elderly. This has primarily been in-home care. I have also worked in the offices of two different home care agencies, helping to staff and supervise elderly care.
