Hi, my name is Ashley. I am a Intensive Therapist who works with children with Autism. I am looking to get a couple of kids to watch during the days I don't work and on the weekend. I have a massive amount of experience. I've worked in daycares before. I've worked in a preschool before. I was the Autism teacher at Bear River Charter school before I moved to Ogden I was the Lead Instructor at ASSERT in Logan. I studied Child Psychology with an emphasis in abuse and neglect at Utah State University. I have a ton of experience with children with disabilities, but I also have a massive amount of experience with typically developing children. I spent almost my whole childhood babysitting. I was the babysitter for a few university professors while I lived in Logan. I live in an apartment, but my whole living room and kitchen Read more is designed for children. My two year old nephew lives with me and I watch him all the time. So any potential clients would have to be ok with my nephew in the mix. He turned two in December and is the sweetest little thing. We have learning time and reading time every day. During the warmer months we spend a lot of time outside. Going for walks, going to the park, lots of outside adventures. I am one of those people who believe that children need to be allowed to be children so I feel I must say up front that any children left in my charge must never wear any clothes you wouldn't want dirtied. Because some days we get really dirty. We finger paint. We play with foam outside. I won't reimburse you for ruined clothes. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I have my food handlers permit. And one thing I completely love about where I live is that the Fire Station is down the street. I pray I never need them, but if I do..whew, there they are! I love LOVE children as you can tell since I've made a career teaching and interacting with children. I am comfortable with all ages. I adore children and your child will be deeply loved by me. I do have to insist that the children come to my house. I have a car, but prefer you to travel to me. I do have references, but I am deeply uncomfortable putting out the phone numbers and information of those I know. I will share my references upon you asking for them. Its best to be safe.
