I'm the mother to a 4 year old boy and a 5 year old dog, and have had a lot of experience being around both kids and pets. I volunteer in the kid and teen space at a couple of music festivals in the summer, am very plugged into the community at my son's school, and previously worked with youth groups at the local homeless shelter from ages 5-18. I do not currently have any certifications, and have not recently been paid to care for children besides my position at the shelter. However, I am committed to receiving CPR and First Aid Training in the next month. I have taken college courses on Human Growth and Development, Psychology, Sociology, Group and Interpersonal Communication, and other various classes, as I have attained my Associates in Human Services and am currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. I am trained in Read more conflict resolution and am big into nutrition, too! I raised a litter of puppies and have spent some time around horses, goats, pigs and chickens, as well. Comfortable with dogs, cats, got, chickens, horses, pigs, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters. And, of course, kids!
