I am a 63 yr old mother & grandmother. I have raised 3 children ; a son & 2 daughters. I have 4 grandchildren who keep me young & very busy. I have been actively involved in their care since their birth. Their age ranges currently are 7-18. I love outdoor activities: strolling babies on walks, trips to the park, sports, games, etc. I feel it is important to balance out the physical activities with indoor quiet time activities such as: reading, homework, music, board games, arts & crafts, educational age appropriate programs, fun movies, etc... I hope you will consider my age as an advantage and as positive personal life experience. I will do housework/cleaning/laundry. I love animals & will perform tasks related to their care. I have only had two paid babysitting/nanny paid positions. Both were several years ago. One position was a newborn baby of a teacher. Read more I took care of her baby for a year and then they moved out of state. The other one was for three young girls for a year. During this time period the family was going through the process of building a new home. Though I did not get paid monetarily to raise my children and help in the raising of my grandchildren I do consider all of those years as hands-on learning experience. My compensation was being able to enjoy many years watching them grow and seeing the "first" things they experienced before I had to go to work at Boeing full-time. For the past 1 1/2 yrs I have been a caregiver to my 105+ yr old mother-in-law who lives with us. She has a caregiver 8 hrs a day Monday - Friday & few hrs on Saturday. This frees me up to try and find a part-time job as a baby-sitter/nanny. I love being around young children and it is my hope you'll consider me as a candidate for your posted position and allow me the opportunity/pleasure/privilege in helping you care for your child/children.
